Leni Keough, HBSc, P. Geo. – President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Ms. Keough is currently a director of the Company.  Ms. Keough is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, London (BSc. Honours Geology, 1986).  Initially she worked with Lacana Mining Corporation and subsequently Royex Corporation and Corona Corporation.  She was involved in the early stages of the diamond exploration boom in Canada and was responsible for the planning and implementation of a number of successful diamond programs undertaken throughout Canada.  As a founding principal of the Company, she has been President of Olivut since its inception in 1993 and has been responsible for the exploration programs undertaken by Olivut.  She is a member of the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines board of directors.  Ms. Keough devotes 100% of her time to the business of the Company.


Sharon Dowdall, BA, LLB – Chairman of the Board, Chair of Governance & Compensation Committee and Director

Ms. Dowdall is currently a director of the Company.  Ms. Dowdall is a graduate of the University of Calgary (B.A. Honours Economics,1974) and Osgoode Hall, York University (LLB, 1977).  From May 2010 to May 2011 she was Vice President, Special Projects for Franco-Nevada Corporation.  From December 2007 until May 2010 she was the Chief Legal Officer of Franco-Nevada Corporation. From 2002 to December 2007 she was the Vice President and Secretary of Newmont Mining Corporation of Canada Limited (“NMC”) and Newmont Capital Limited, each subsidiaries of Newmont Mining Corporation.  Prior to joining Franco-Nevada, the predecessor of NMC, in 1999, Ms. Dowdall was a partner at Smith Lyons LLP.  Ms. Dowdall also serves as a director of Foran Mining Corporation and NovaGold Resources Inc. and devotes approximately 5% of her time to the business of the Company.


Ian Shaw, CPA, CA – Chief Financial Officer and Secretary

Mr. Shaw is a graduate of Trinity College, University of Toronto (B.Com., 1964) and he obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1969 with Deloitte, Plender Haskins & Sells, Toronto. From 1993 to present, he has been the Managing Director of Shaw & Associates, a corporate services consulting firm specializing in corporate finance, regulatory reporting and compliance with clients that are typically public companies in the resource industry. As part of those activities, from 2000 - 2003, he served as Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Geomaque Explorations Inc.,& Defiance Mining Corporation and Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Blackhawk Mining Inc. Prior to 1993, his experience with resource based companies included serving as Vice-President, Controller and Treasurer, Curragh Inc. and Controller and Treasurer, Sherritt Gordon Mines Inc. He continues to serve as a director or officer for a number of public companies.


Mary Cameron, CA, CFP - Accountant

Ms. Cameron is a graduate of the University of Oregon (B.Sc., 1968) and she obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 1971 with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, Toronto.  Ms. Cameron has extensive financial consulting experience in public practice as well as in the private sector having worked in the real estate and investment industries.  Ms. Cameron currently acts as a small practitioner in public practice providing financial planning and tax advice to private individuals and small companies.


 

TECHNICAL TEAM

Karen Bacon – GIS Mapping and Data Services

Ms. Bacon has over twenty years experience in the exploration and mining industry with extensive expertise as a GIS specialist.  Ms. Bacon commenced her industry experience in 1977 working for Noranda Exploration Ltd. based in Yellowknife where she was responsible for drafting services for the exploration office. Subsequently, Ms. Bacon coordinated all mapping services for Cardinal River Coals Ltd. in Hinton, Alberta for fourteen years where she provided all mine pit designs, presentation drawings, environmental reclamation maps and drawings for government application reports among others.  Since 2003 Ms. Bacon has operated KB Drafting Services which provides comprehensive mapping and database services.


John Decker – Operations Manager

Mr. Decker has extensive experience in Canada’s north where he resided for over 30 years. He has worked in many of its remote communities and areas. Mr. Decker has a diverse network of colleagues as a result of his business contacts developed over years in the north.  He owns and operates an aviation service business which includes leasing of aircraft and providing support services to industries in western and northern Canada.  Mr. Decker has more than 30 years experience in the aviation sector and is a commercial helicopter pilot, a commercial fixed wing pilot and a helicopter and fixed wing engineer.


Dr. Malcolm E. McCallum, Emeritus Professor of Geology and Research Geologist - Senior Technical Advisor

Mr. McCallum graduated from Middlebury College, The University of Tennessee, and the University of Wyoming with A.B., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Geology (1956, 1958 and 1964 respectively).  Mr. McCallum was professor of geology in minerals exploration at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO, from 1962 through 1995.  He is co-founder of HDM Laboratories Inc. that specializes in diamond and gold exploration sample processing and evaluation.  He was employed as a part time (WAE) field research geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey from 1956 through 1984.  He has been a consulting geologist for mineral exploration companies since 1985, specializing primarily in diamonds and precious metals, and has practiced in the United States, Canada, South America, Africa and Europe.  He has been involved in kimberlite and diamond related research and exploration since 1964, and was a major participant in the discovery of a number of diamondiferous kimberlite occurrences in Colorado, Wyoming, Venezuela, and the NWT and BC, Canada.  He has also worked on kimberlite/diamond projects in Alberta, Nunavut, Ontario and Quebec Canada, Guyana, Brazil, South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Finland, Sweden and Russia.  He has served as a Technical Advisor to a number of diamond and gold exploration companies. Mr. McCallum is a fellow of the Geological Society of America, the Society of Exploration Geochemists, the Society of Economic Geologists, and the Mineralogical Society of America.


Paul W. Pitman, P. Geol.  - Consulting Geologist

Mr. Pitman is a graduate of Carleton University, Ottawa ( B.Sc. Honors Geology, 1969).  He has over 35 years experience as an exploration geologist. From 1970 to 1983 he worked for three major mining companies: Gulf Minerals, Union Miniere of Belgium and BP Resources Canada on a number of commodities.  Since 1983 he has acted as a geological consultant to over 60 clients, several of which are diamond explorers. He has worked in all facets of diamond exploration and has acted as a Vice President, Exploration for a small diamond explorer. He serves on the Board of several public companies as a consulting geologist.  Mr. Pitman is Vice-President of Exploration for Ur-Energy Inc. and President of Aura Silver Resources. He is a registered professional geologist in Ontario, NWT and Nunavut.


Martin St. Pierre, P. Geophysicist - Consulting Geophysicist - Qualified Person

Mr. St. Pierre is a graduate of McGill University (BSc. Geophysics) 1985.  He is the founder and President of St. Pierre Geoconsultant Inc. with over 25 years of experience exploring for uranium, diamonds, nickel/copper, gold and base metals. Mr. St. Pierre worked for BHP-Billiton from 1991 to 1998 as part of the exploration team that discovered the Ekati diamond mine. He has provided geophysical consulting services to numerous exploration companies including DeBeers, Diavik Diamond Mine and Stornoway Diamond Corporation.


Eric Craigie, B.Sc. - Consultant - Senior Geologist - In Memory

Mr. Craigie was a mineral resource geologist with over 40 years experience and a broad background in the mining industry. He was a graduate of the University of British Columbia (B.Sc., 1969) and was active in the exploration, discovery and development of uranium, base and precious metal deposits. He had a proven track record of exploration management with extensive experience and specialized expertise in diamond exploration.  From 1978 until 1984, he managed the eastern Canadian exploration office of BP Minerals and from 1984 until 1992 he was in charge of diamond exploration for the Selection Trust Division of BP Resources.  In 1992 he established Shadowood Exploration Services, a professional service that provided expertise to the mineral exploration industry.  Mr. Craigie’s work included conceptual development of new mineral exploration projects and supervision, technical control, budgeting and field management of exploration programs.  He consulted for diamond explorers in Canada, USA, Africa and Asia.  His work resulted in the discovery of kimberlites in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Ontario. Eric passed away on June 4, 2016. We will miss him both personally as well as professionally.
